I love Lillith Saintcrow, in any guise. After all I am typing this on my laptop which I called Japhrimel.I was delighted when she decided to create a young adult series and was not disappointed by Strange Angels. It was a strong start with Dru on the run from whoever killed her father with Graves and assistance from the mysterious Christophe.
In Betrayals Dru and Graves have arrived at the Schola and are trying to settle in. Dru hasn't dealt with losing her father and doesn't understand why no one will teach her anything. It becomes evident that things are not as they should be at the Schola and that Dru's presence their isn't such a secret as they are attacked.
It's another great book, delivering action, intrigue and uncertainty. It's another fantastic delivery and you could jump straight in at this book, but it would be a real pity to miss out on Strange Angels by doing that. I strongly recommend this series to Urban Fantasy fans of all ages.
