Weekly Geeks - A bit of a tidy

Weekly Geeks this week is all about having a clean up. Checking links still work and everything is up to date. I thought it was not only a good prompt to spend some time doing maintenance on Un:Bound but also a chance to remind introduce you to the site.

There are parts of un:bound I update every week or fortnight as a matter of course,
the post archives all get maintained regularly or it gets to be hard work.
You can look at our previous posts by scrolling back in the blog obviously but we have pages dedicated to
posts by genre - as accurately as I can manage. This is mostly reviews but included interviews and some articles.
We have reviews by authors name, click the name to call up all posts for that author. We list the books under the name.
We also have a page listing the articles, ravenous romance posts, other guest posts and linking our appearances elsewhere as members of Un:Bound. You can find links to past contests and book trailers here too.
You will find these links mostly take you straight back into the blog, but for specific posts and labels, it's an easier way of browsing than clicking through labels in the sidebar, which I hope to remove soon.
I also regularly update a list of books I have received. This only refers to me not the whole team, although if they send me details I will gladly add them. It's just so that if I forget to announce it at the beginning of a post it's still there somewhere and if you have sent me a book you can check i've received it. You can also see if it's been assigned to a reviewer yet and which one, since I sometimes pass things straight on.
So those are all updated very quickly.

There are several pages that are less frequently updated butI spent quite a lot of time yesterday and will continue over the week to get these whipped into shape.
Events, Organisations and groups, split into UK and World for events and organisations. Team professional blogs like the League of reluctant adults are here too. Let me know if you have something to be added.
Publishers etc - ok, obviously publishers websites, artists websites and also ezines.
Authors sites - linking to authors own sites, I have a lot more to add to this, but it's there if you want it. I would like to have a website for everyone we review on their in due course and wil be busy on that this week.
Other blogs - this is what it says, I am trying to get to a point where everyone on my googlereader is on there, but there is also a link to the genre blog meme for you all too. I will be adding an indication of content to all of them in due course but I spent about 4hours on this and got maybe halfway through my blogroll, so again , do check back next weekend.

Short Fiction - well this gets updated whenever we pursuade someone to donate a story.

Finally we have interviews and audio interviews that also get updated as and when. The latest update is included on the index pages so you can see where I have been busy.

So there we are, this will be the week of major updating to refresh everything for the new year.
