Damn I love the Dresden books. These always go to the top of the pile and I gave up waiting for the paperbacks at Turncoat.

I am always delighted by these books and always taken by surprise but this one. Damn. Really that's about all I have to say. This is a fantastic series with a brilliant lead and awesome cast of supporting characters. The different stories pull on different resources and friendships so we get to see Harry's friends and family develop gradually over the series, but you don't necessarily get to see everyone in every book. In this case we haven't seen Susan for a long time and she's come back with a bomb to drop on Harry. He's a father and his daughter's life is in danger.

Well I knew we were in for something special from the start because no one does personal like Dresden and he is going to have to re asses what really matters to him, what he is willing to sacrifice in order to save his child.

I think when it comes down to it I stand by my original comment on this one. Whoa!

Good stuff. I really love the Dresden Files, and while some series can suffer from a certain inertia after the first handful of books, this certainly isn't a criticism I feel can be thrown at this set.

Glad you seemed to enjoy it as much as I did, and I really do want to have my own Mouse! He rocks.
