Motomi Madness 3- Otokomae Beads Club

The final series I'm reviewing by the lovely Motomi Kyousuke is called Otokomae Beads Club, and it stays true to Kyousuke's style of throwing weird people together and basically playing with their lives a bit.

This storyline is a little (I can only say a little) less bizarre than Beast Master and Dangeki Daisy... though it is again set in a high school.

In this series, Ibuki is a transfer student trying to turn over a new leaf. If you imagine your ideal man (boys can if they really want to) you're probably thinking of the perfect hero- strong, brave, noble, and just a little wild...

Ibuki is this ideal, which would be great... if she was a man.
Having been trained in martial arts since youth and had a deeply honorable upbringing, she is brave and strong... and finds every man in her life lacking. She needs a boy who's manlier than her, and this school should be the place. She puts on a girlish act, claiming to like beading, of all things, and ended up forced to join the weird group of people in the Beads Club.

The members are all pretty weird- there's an extremely large camp guy, a cross-dresser, a gangster girl, and someone who's... a little tripped out.
Then there's the club president, a guy who's a little bit obsessed with Ibuki :P

This isn't the best of Motomi's mangas, but it's pretty amusing, and when it's only three chapters long, it's not really excusable not to while away an hour or so reading it haha, especially when you can read it for free on onemanga legally, since it's not a UK release.

I have, but since most of them are Japanese (and non-English speakers) it's tough. I will track down the Shakespeare manga people, (one of my future reviews- they're awesome)

I was so gutted I couldn't attend mcm... and the next one's on the weekend of dad's birthday!

I'll have to just attend one day :P
